Kelly Dick has been working with clay for over twenty years. She sees clay as a limitless medium that grows with her during each phase of her life. Currently, she is a mother, seeing life through her children's eyes. Her recent creation of "Wall Creatures" reflects this child-like view in the plays of color, method and form.
Each unique "wall creature" has been created using an old-world technique known as 'cuerda seca'; a dry-line resisting the flow of glazes until fired.
These creatures are made from high-fire clay and colorful glazes and can be hung both indoors and outdoors.
